"False Dichotomy" follows Aki and "Aki", two sides of the same coin. Aki is the weak and pathetic side, and "Aki" the strong and resolved side. Aki has decided that it would be best if their existence was purged from their body. Play as Aki as they perform a ritual to leave "Aki" as the sole controller of their body!

It's probably just me not understanding the story, but I really like how mysterious the other "Aki" is. Like, are they actually there physically? Are we really just talking to ourselves the entire game? What is "Aki" really? All that mystery actually makes the game a lot more interesting.

I also really like the CHARON-inspired art style a lot. It's honestly quite nostalgic.

p.s. This is the old version of the game. I was supposed to make this comment like a month ago, but itch.io was blocking it.

Overall, it’s a pretty good game. Simple and to the point one, but also still a sad one. Also, very on point Charon aesthetics here. (tho it has been a while I saw one of their games, the one thing I remember is like the Exit-8 style game of theirs.)

Still, well done for the first RPG2k project. I hope to see more.
